Hudson Leick

Not only was this my first Xena (and Hercules...) con, it was my first experience with seeing Hudson Leick live. I can safely say that I now grasp the "Hudson Haze". She came out on stage in a very sleek black strapless body suit and from the very first strut, she owned the room. She vamped, she tramped, she camped, and she was, from what I could see, having a great time. And so were we all. Questions were met with the appropriate degree of Callisto, playfulness, or thoughtful seriousness whenever needed. Hudson was giving us a show, but the real Hudson was right up there along side it all. Highlights, for me, were numerous so I won't go into endless detail, but I will say that I left that convention hall a new fan. What impressed me most about Hudson that day, esp. from when I got my picture taken with her, was that she was totally present with each individual with whom she interacted. While we were posing for a photo, we had about 2 seconds to interact, and I really felt she was there with me, instead of the "next, please" that is so common (and also understandable) with celebrities amidst large numbers of adoring fans. Thanks, Hudson :)

Scanning these didn't go as well as I wanted, so the jpg's are fuzzier than the actual prints. I will be trying to re-do these over time. The thumbnails are also only a small part of the entire image, instead of just a shrunken version of the whole shot. If you like the photos, please let me know. Enjoy!
